Abstract: A study of the diversity of phytoplankton in Iragbo part of Yewa Lagoon Lagos was conducted for six months, (December, 2012- May, 2013). The surface water transparency was (≥48.5) and showed direct relationship with phytoplankton abundance. A total of 4875 individuals of 77 phytoplankton species belonging to 6 divisions were identified. Phytoplankton biomass was high in the dry months than wet months. Phytoplankton chlorophyll-a value (0.004) was highest in January. The Centrales diatoms dominated the phytoplankton community. A total of 1475 individuals (30.8%) represents Bacillariophyta, while 635 (13.3%), 15 (0.3%), 2525 (52.8%), 115 (2.4%) and 20(0.4%) represents Chlorophyta, Chrysophyta, Cyanophyta, Euglenophyta, and Pyrrophyta respectively. Cyanophyta were the most abundant (52.8%) while Bacillariophyta had the highest species composition of 28 making up (36.4%) of the total species. Diversity was higher in dry months (≥3.42) than wet months (≤2.99). Chlorophyll-a abundance showed positive correlation with Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD), Dissolved Oxygen (DO) and Iron (Fe).

Abstract: Two experiments were conducted at the poultry farm of Department of Animal Production – College of Agriculture – University of Diyala / Iraq, the first experiment performed in Autumn season using 324 birds and the second experiment performed in Spring season using 397 birds reared for ten weeks, the study aimed to detect the productive performance of three varieties of Japanese quail(White, Black and Brown plumage color) in the natural conditions of Iraq during Spring and Autumn seasons and the effect of genotype × environment interaction (G × E) on meat and egg production. The statistical analysis done according to factorial experiment in Completely Randomized Design (3 × 2) with three replicates. The results showed, significant superiority of the Black variety in the body weight measurements during the first 5 weeks of age, while there were no significant differences found in body weight between Black and Brown varieties during 6 and 7 weeks of age. There were significant differences due to G×E in body weight measurements of all weeks of rearing. The results showed significant superiority of the Black variety compared with White variety in feed consumption and weight gain traits, and also there were a significant superiority of measurements during Spring season rearing compared with Autumn season rearing in respect of weight gain and feed conversion traits, also there were significant G×E effect in feed conversion. There was a significant superiority of measurements during Autumn season rears in the age of sexual maturity of females, hen day egg production (%), and the number of eggs per hen.

Abstract: The international research trend of tomato molecular breeding was studied based on thesis analysis in SCIE. Through the analysis of the annual number of articles, reveals the variation trend of related research. By the analysis of Scientific productivity and achievement influence, compares the research competitiveness among countries. Use the co-word clustering to identify 6 important research topics in the field, and use the strategy coordinates to evaluation the relative position of these topics .The result shows that, tomato molecular breeding research presents a rising trend. The United States plays an absolute leading role in the field. China’s research layouts more but achievements influence is relatively low. # 5 (tomato genome) and # 1 (resistance) themes are the center of tomatoes molecular breeding. # 2 (oxidative stress) may be the center of the future research.
